Founded in 1991 and based in Brisbane, Australia, Perfect Potion is a privately-owned manufacturer and retailer of organic skincare and aromatherapy products. With a manufacturing inventory of 500 items and a retailing arm of 800 products, Perfect Potion operates 18 stores across Australia and Japan. The Perfect Potion team is dedicated to creating an innovative and diverse range of holistic natural aromatherapy products that nurture the body, mind and spirit.

Their Business Challenge

A long-term SYSPRO customer, Perfect Potion identified a need to upgrade from SYSPRO 6.1 to SYSPRO 8. The goal was to use the new features available in SYPRO 8 to improve and simplify business processes.

SYSPRO Solution

SYSPRO’s internal implementation team upgraded the company from SYSPRO 6.0 to SYSPRO 6.1 and then to SYSPRO 7 using three staging servers. This was followed by the upgrade to SYSPRO 8.

Within a short time, Perfect Potion’s staff found that SYSPRO 8 saved time and improved business processes. The new solution also provided the enhanced reporting and business insights needed to support the growing business.

Prior to the upgrade, Perfect Potion’s stock was ordered manually, leading to human error and additional cost. One of its goals with SYSPRO 8 is to automate most of the order processing. The emailing of reports has already been automated, enhancing productivity and enabling members of the management team to receive reports anywhere, anytime.

Additionally, Perfect Potion plans to use SYSPRO’s Point of Sale (POS) module to enhance efficiencies by bringing its manufacturing and retail arms together under SYSPRO. By using SYSPRO’s capabilities more effectively, the company will be able to enhance its customer offering, for example through value-added promotions.

Another potential candidate for automation is the receipting of raw materials. Perfect Potion aims to automate the printing of starting materials and testing protocols, which is currently a manual process.
